Charter School Design
Charter schools are public schools that operate with more organizational flexibility than most public schools. AIE provides assistance to groups aspiring to open charter schools by conceptualizing, designing, and providing support throughout the approval process.
AIE is responding to the disconnect between education and real world applications by working to maximize the relevance of the education our students are receiving to their future careers. Strong community and business partnerships will allow our students to graduate prepared for success in the 21st century global economy.
AIE conceptualized, designed and facilitated district and state approval of the first two charter schools to be approved in the urban East Baton Rouge School System in over 10 years. These are the Helix Arts & Digital Media Academy and Helix STEM Academy (now operating as Mentorship Academies).
We are currently working with the Delta Charter Group in Ferriday, LA (Concordia Parish) to write a K-12 charter school application to the district and state.
